Andrey Bondarenko is an artist who creates jewellery as miniature sculptures. Based in Vancouver, his practice is rooted in traditional goldsmithing and the discipline of hand fabrication.

A purist at heart, he works exclusively with natural, untreated gemstones and precious metals. From concept to finished form - each piece is designed, fabricated and finished entirely by hand, with an emphasis on precision and quality.

Having an established artistic background, he pursued his technical foundation at Vancouver Community College’s Jewellery Art & Design program, followed by an apprenticeship under master goldsmith Dariusz Bebel, his former teacher, and years at the bench working for and alongside esteemed Vancouver jewellers.

Today, Andrey maintains a private studio practice while teaching at VCC’s Jewellery Art & Design program, continuing the craft in which he was trained.

He accepts a limited number of private commissions by appointment.
